Meet our founder & CEO...

Hello, I’m Felicia Adams, founder of Growing Minds Literacy Centre and a dedicated elementary teacher with over 12 years of classroom experience.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked closely with children who struggle with reading and writing, bright students who often try hard but still find literacy challenging. Seeing the frustration and loss of confidence these children experience inspired me to specialize in structured, evidence-based literacy intervention.

I am trained in Structured Literacy and Reading Science and use explicit, systematic instruction to help children build strong foundational skills in reading, spelling, comprehension, and writing. My approach is individualized, supportive, and focused on helping literacy finally “click” for each child.

I believe every child is capable of becoming a confident reader and writer when taught in a way that meets their learning needs. At Growing Minds Literacy Centre, my goal is not only academic growth, but renewed confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

When I’m not working with students, I enjoy spending time with my family and continuing to learn new ways to support children’s literacy development.
